Join us in the heart of the Napa Valley for Sequoia Grove Winery’s educational, seated Wine & Food Pairing. Winery Chef Britny Maureze will you lead you through 5 wine pairings of extraordinary seasonal cuisine to enhance the enjoyment of a selction of our top-tier Cabernet Sauvignon.

To celebrate the season, we are offering the Chef's Table Experience for $75 to Wine Club Members and $95 to Non-Members for bookings made now.

We offer this experience by reservation Thursday - Monday with one seating at 12:30PM during our Winter hours.

A Selection of Four Wines for $30
This is the perfect tasting for those who wish to explore a spectrum of Sequoia Grove Winery varietal wines and blends. The tasting menu changes frequently and features a rotating selection of wines only available at the Tasting Room or through our Wine Club.

A Selection of Three Wines for $40

The Single-Vineyard Cabernet Tasting is designed for both the serious Cabernet Sauvignon aficionado and those who would like a better understanding of how terroir influences the characteristics of fine wine. This tasting menu changes frequently and may include current releases or library vintages from Tonella, Stagecoach, Morisoli, Lamoreaux, Healy or Henry Brothers vineyards.

Enjoy your Current Release or Single Vineyard Tasting on our patio and add a gourmet Cheese and Charcuterie Board built for 2 - 4 people. Enjoy local and house-made cheeses and charcuterie specifically selected to complement Sequoia Grove's wines served with house-made jam and toasted baguettes on our patio, weather permitting. Closed December-February.

Seated Tasting Experience - $50

Experience the expertise of Sequoia Grove and Cabernet Sauvignon. Join us for a small-group experience that uses Sequoia Grove Winery’s vineyard-designated Cabernet program to illustrate how what’s in the vineyard gets into the glass and how to maximize your enjoyment of Cabernet with a meal. This seated tasting is relaxed yet informative and takes approximately 75 minutes.

If we learn best by doing, and wine and food are some of life’s great pleasures, why should learning about pairing food and wine be restricted to sitting through lectures? We’ve flipped the typical wine and food pairing lesson into a hands-on, creative, competitive, fun—and yes, educational—group activity. We provide the philosophy of pairing Cabernet Sauvignon with food and then challenge participants to test and apply what they’ve learned through a team-based competition.

Your host will demonstrate the principles of wine and food pairing by having the group try Cabernet with ingredients that represent elements of taste that affect wine flavor. Your group, divided into teams of 2-4 guests, will receive a basket of crostini and 12 different toppings. Your goal: create the most appetizing, creative, Cabernet-complementing crostini ever! It’s challenging because while many of the items pair well with Cabernet, we’ve thrown in some ringers to test participants’ new knowledge of what complements a wine or detracts from it.

We select the winning team’s entry based on creativity, flavor and most importantly, if the combination maintains or improves the taste of the Cabernet.
