Harvest 2018 Has Begun!
Sequoia Grove Team
Earlier this month, we brought in our first fruit of the 2018 season: delightful Sauvignon Blanc from Mello Vineyard in Yountville. Our Winemaker, Molly Hill, had the following to say on our first fruit of the year:
Cheers

"The first day of harvest is an exciting time.  It is a chance to take a moment of gratitude for all the bounty from mother nature we receive and for the amazing team of people with whom we are lucky to work.  This vintage is made all the more momentous as it will be the first in our gorgeous new facility!
The weather we have been experiencing so far has made it an excellent year for all the white varietals. Flavors are intense and layered and acids are fresh and lively. Sauvignon Blanc Clone 530 has melon, pear, and some grassy notes while the musque clone is full of mango, passion fruit, and lemon/lime flavors."
Wine Grapes During Harvest
We can't wait to see how this amazing fruit develops! Of course, this is only the start of our very first harvest in our incredible new winemaking facility. We invite you to follow along with our story all harvest long - just check out our Instagram here! We're planning to celebrate our very first harvest in our new winemaking facility in a big way, and we want you to join us.
