We made this wine from Syrah grapes picked specifically for the purpose of rose production. Grapes were hand sorted then whole cluster pressed. This process is a new technique for Sequoia Grove, and allows us to focus on making rose in the most quality sensitive and intentional method. Once pressed, the juice is then treated like a white wine, with a slow, month and a half long fermentation maintained at 55 degrees to develop complex fruit flavors. The wine is then racked down to stainless steel barrels to settle before bottling.
