Sequoia Grove Vineyards as seen from above

You'll find us on Route 29, the Rodeo Drive of Napa Valley, three miles north of Yountville.

If you have trouble finding us just look for the Sequoias. Our doors are always open (as long as it's between 10:30 and 5:00).
Our tasting room is a working part of the winery. The casks are made from French oak, and were shipped here from France in 1978. In 2003 one of our sequoias was struck by lightening and the top half crashed through the roof of our Tasting Room. Always ready to make lemonade from lemons, we filled the holes using a stained glass window with a lightening motif. We also dried out the dead sequoia and made presentation boxes for our wines.
The winery houses our tanks, barrels, "underground" cellar, and bottling facilities. The massive wooden doors at the entrance are made from reclaimed redwood. Having a state-of-the-art bottling line in-house guarantees high quality.
Our brand-new stainless steel tanks are used primarily for fermentation, blending, and hot/cold stabilization of the wines. We have around four thousand barrels which we replace every four years as no oak flavor is imparted after that time. Our underground cellar is technically underwater! The water table in Rutherford is about eight feet beneath ground level. Because water surrounds the cellar, it stays a cool 57-59° Fahrenheit year-round without any artificial emperature or humidity control.
The cellar life preserver... after all, the cellar is under water! The gated portion of our underground cellar. This is where we keep naughty tourists.
The stained glass window above the entrance to the cellar. Another of our artistic touches to our winery. Next time you visit bring a picnic along and enjoy our gardens.

The actual Sequoia Grove... of course! Stand beneath them and be amazed by their size and stature.  Tonella Vineyards, our new property in Rutherford, ready to be planted with Cabernet Sauvignon vines.
