2007 Lamoreaux Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon
Deep dark red in color, the intense aroma of sweet vanilla couples beautifully with the fresh blackberries and classic cassis notes. Background notes of rich, dark chocolate and black pepper, with hints of sweet tobacco, give many layers to the nose. The palate is shy at first, but quickly builds into rich blackberry and vanilla notes, slowing fading into a long finish with a touch of smoky coffee.
These grapes are grown in what Sequoia Grove casually refers to as the Oak Knoll bench. Tucked into the western hills on one of the first estates in Napa Valley, between ancient oak trees and grazing cattle, grow these 30+ year old vines.
